Book Review - The Facebook Effect
The Facebook Effect: The Inside Story of the Company That Is Connecting the World by David Kirkpatrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was afraid this was going to be a fanboy report but it was actually a very deep story on Zuckerberg and the start and evolution of Facebook. Kirkpatrick interviewed a lot of people which provided him lots of detail on the strategies, design changes, philosophy and the personalities involved in FB.
The book appeals to both the FB user in me and the MBA holder. It's really an amazing story. Harvard dropout creates and builds a multi-billion dollar company that has changed the way many of us communicate. FB hit 500 million users a short time ago and the growth rate doesn't seem to be slowing. Truly amazing.
