Movie Review - Horrible Bosses
Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis
If you're looking for a fun, silly flick, Horrible Bosses would be a good choice. It's not "great cinema" but it has a lot of laughs and a stellar cast. Jason Bateman channels Michael Bluth and it works. Charlie Day is sweet but goofy and Jason Sudeikis is surprisingly sexy.
The plot is simple enough, the three friends all have truly horrible human beings as their bosses and they're trapped in their jobs. A flippant idea of "the world would be a better place if we killed them" leads to an actual plan to take the bosses out.
As good as the three leads were, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell steal the show as the bosses. Farrell gets the least screen time but Spacey was great and Aniston...well, let's just say you're never going to look at her the same way again. Such a pretty mouth, such a huge amount of raunch coming out of it. And, damn, that woman is incredibly hot.
Steven and I were excited to see this because it's co-written by John Francis Daley whom I've liked since Freaks and Geeks and Steven first discovered on Bones. We think he's really funny and talented.
Daley has a bit in the movie as well as numerous other people you know including Ron White, Ioan Gruffudd, Isaiaha Mustafa and a big surprise cameo that I won't spoil.
It was the perfect movie to start our Saturday with. We laughed out loud several times and quite enjoyed it.
