Tale of Two Kales

If I had ever considered what my front yard shrubbery would taste like, I think it would be quite similar to raw kale. Blech.

However, take that same raw kale, cook it up with some garlic and bacon and simmer it until soft and it's pretty dang good. Hard to go wrong when bacon and garlic are involved but the kale itself had a nice flavor.

It was also fun watching it turn bright green while it was cooking. Pretty.
